Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Corner Couch Studios ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our website at cornercouchstudios.com (the "Website") and the mobile applications we publish (the "Apps"). It applies to every App that links to this policy from its app store listing or from within the App.
1. The short version
Our Apps do not collect, transmit, or share your personal information. Everything you enter into an App is stored on your own device. We do not run advertising, we do not use analytics or tracking software inside the Apps, and we do not require you to create an account.
Our Website uses privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics that count visits in aggregate and cannot identify you.
2. Information handled by the Apps
Data you create in the Apps
The Apps store the content you create, such as tasks, boards, notes, habits, food entries, images, and settings, locally on your device. This data is not sent to us or to any third party. If you delete an App, or clear its data through your device settings, that content is removed from your device. If you use your device's own backup features, such as iCloud Backup or Google backup, the App's data may be included in that backup under the terms of Apple's or Google's privacy policies, which we do not control.
Device permissions
Some Apps may ask for permission to access features on your device, such as your photo library or camera, so you can add images to your boards or entries, or notifications, so the App can remind you of something you asked to be reminded of. These permissions are used only for the feature you requested. Any photos or files you add stay on your device. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Purchases
If an App offers a paid version or an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your name, payment details, or billing address. We may receive anonymized transaction records from Apple or Google for the purpose of accounting and providing the feature you purchased.
What we do not do
- We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, contacts, or location through the Apps.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking software inside the Apps.
- We do not sell, rent, or share user data with anyone.
3. Information handled by the Website
Analytics
The Website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they view. This service does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. It records aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, the country a visit came from, the type of device and browser used, and the website that referred the visit. Visitors are counted using a temporary hashed identifier that is discarded after 24 hours and cannot be linked back to you.
Hosting logs
The Website is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may temporarily process technical information such as IP addresses in server logs for security and operational purposes. This is governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
Links to other sites
The Website links to the App Store and Google Play. Those sites are operated by Apple and Google and have their own privacy policies.
4. When you contact us
If you email us for support or any other reason, we will receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use it only to respond to you. We keep this correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request and for our records, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
5. Children's privacy
Our Apps and Website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Because the Apps do not transmit personal information to us, we do not hold data about any user, child or adult. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data security
Because App data lives only on your device, its security depends on your device's own protections, such as your passcode and encryption settings. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a device passcode.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not hold personal information about App users. 8. International users
Corner Couch Studios is based in the United States. If you use the Website from outside the United States, the limited analytics and hosting data described above may be processed on servers located in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we release a new App or add a feature that changes how data is handled. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Apps or Website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
